Non Slip

Non slip safety products for stair nosings, grating, decking, ladder rungs, stair covers, flooring, guarding, line markings, ramps, safety gates, safety rails, smoking shelters, containments trays and speed bumps.
Many of our products are constructed from tough, durable GRP (fibreglass), a material that, worldwide, is acknowledged as a superior alternative to traditional materials such as timber and steel. The silicon carbon grit incorporated in to most of the product range not only enhances the product durability but offers excellent traction, even in the extreme weather and environment conditions.

Micromech – isel

Micromech – isel CNC Machines is the UK supplier of isel Germany AG who manufacture a comprehensive and competitive range of electromechanical components and systems. These high quality products are designed for use in automation and mechanical engineering applications. Starting with a wide range of aluminium profiles, their product line up goes right though to X, Y, Z gantry units.

isel Germany AG was founded in Germany in 1972 as a sole-trader business with the emphasis on, ‘all around the printed circuit board’ automation. Out of this automation philosophy they have developed products for electronics, mechanics, software and systems. From this strategy has evolved the mission statement ‘From Components to Systems’.

isel initially dealt with the packing of products for electronic technicians, particularly with photo-coated base material for printed circuit boards and accessories for printed circuit board manufacturing, including the chemicals and tools.

The company now manufactures small devices such as light tables and mounting desks, flux and drying units, soldering units and complete milling and drilling stands all of which are still offered for D.I.Y and development purposes.

The success of the CNC automation range making devices for PCB machining has resulted in considerable growth so that now this range contributes up to 80 percent of the company’s total turnover.

The anodised aluminium profiles are available in lengths up to 3m, are extremely light but build up into very solid frames or tables and stands. Fast and easy to construct they can also be supplied ready assembled. For machine build there is the platen profile range which is face milled on both sides making them ideal for precision clamping or as a work surface.

The extensive linear guide range is designed to be used in a wide variety of engineering applications and comes in lengths up to 6m, comprising of precision steel shafts and aluminium profiles. The numerous styles of linear guide that have been developed over the years now meet the varied requirements of most machine builders.

There are three families of actuators, first is the LF ballscrew range where feed forces can be up to 2000N and a maximum speed of 1m/s, in lengths

from 290 to 2990mm and they can be configured from one to five axes. The next is the ZF range, which uses a timing belt; it can accelerate a load mass of 20kg at 20m/s2 at speeds up to 5m/s and available as a standard in lengths up to 6m (longer as a special). The ZF actuator uses reference switches that have a repeat accuracy of +/- 0.02mm, a repeatability of 0.02mm and they may be combined in arrangements up to three axes. The third member of the family is the BL series; a compact belt drive actuator that is particularly useful where space is a critical factor. They are available in lengths up to 2050mm and can be supplied with or without integrated control electronics. The LF, ZF and BL units can all be fitted with the appropriate motors, drives and controls either stepper or servo as required.

Probably best known for their flatbed and gantry systems, isel is a European market leader for multiple axes handling and positioning units. These modular systems have travels of 250 to 1250mm and the ballscrew versions have an accuracy of +/- 0.01mm. The systems can also be supplied fitted with stepper or servomotors, drives and controls, in fact delivered ready to go – they just need ‘plugging in’.

With a variety of options also available the systems are ideally suited for applications such as sign cutting, educational, laser cutting, glueing, sealing, screwing, dosing, forming, modelling, automatic placement and mounting.

The entire product portfolio is designed, developed, and produced by isel to enable customers to have complete solutions from one supplier and now in the UK this equipment is through Micromech – isel CNC Machines, Braintree, Essex.

Systems

Since 1990, Micromech Systems Limited (MSL) has evolved into a system build and automation specialist, catering for the changing role of the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), manufacturers and research establishments. As large OEM’s downsize and manufacturers seek ways to reduce costs they look for a cost-effective sub-contract facility or an automation company to provide the skills and experience to improve production. Research, pharmaceutical, life sciences, medical and university organisations are also increasingly requiring specialist support. MSL has a strong reputation in offering these services and as a result now has an increasing number of customers enter into long term relationships.

There are these days a constant development of new technologies, processes and manufacturing techniques that all businesses must adopt to increase efficiency and productivity. They have to balance higher quality with reduced costs while being very flexible to accommodate ever-changing demand and product development. On top all this there are Health and safety regulations as well as deluge of employment laws affecting production. System build and automation is often the answer, which is where MSL can help. Our success in developing motion control and automation systems for a wide range of industries, which include printing, packaging, machine tools, automotive, research, nuclear and food processing, is due to our ability to listen carefully to customer needs and delivering the project on time and within budget.

We offer a complete service, from design and build, to test, programming, installation and commissioning and furthermore we are at the forefront of technological change. At MSL we will continue to offer the customer a state-of-the-art solution to a problem with a commercially sensible approach.

Control automation is changing at all levels, driven by developments in computer technology, manufacturers are facing increased challenges in ever more demanding markets, and the traditional approaches to automation control are coming under close scrutiny.
The ability to meet the requirements of modern manufacture can only come from increased flexibility in the process control environment and to do this MSL has expertise in all aspects of automation technology. This allows the manufacturer to concentrate on production of their own product, saving valuable time and resource.

Micromech Systems can produce a complete control system; including, initial concept, design, build, test, software programming, installation and commissioning, while ensuring the latest motion control products are used and that the relative European Directives have been applied.

The ability to produce all types of automation software; bringing in data manipulation, math’s functions, statistical process control – combined with the latest generations of man-machine interfaces, provides for greater functionality and improved productivity.
