With the new PD-1076 and PD-1276 family Trinamic completes the PANdrive smart motors family by NEMA23 and NEMA24 Drives. Intelligent solutions like the PANdrive motors with integrated controller easily connect between digital and physical worlds.

Trinamic - PD57-1276The drives are equipped with Trinamic’s latest driver technologies like the popular noiseless current-control mode StealthChop, the second generation of the sensorless load detection StallGuard, and the load-dependent current control CoolStep. The PD-1276 additionally comes with a magnetic SensOstep Encoder, which reliably detects step or position loss – even at standstill.

As all PANdrives, the new products combine the latest motor control technologies with ease of use and fast implementation. While the PD-1076 family is controlled via simple step/direction signals, the PD-1276 family is equipped with the industry standard CANopen protocol, or alternatively with the TMCL mini-PLC that can execute standalone applications, programmed in the free an easy to use TMCL-IDE.

Designed for a supply voltage of 10V…30V, these PANdrives provide a holding torque of 0.55…3.1Nm. Ensuring the smoothest stepper motor operation possible, these smart motors have a state-of-the-art feature set, including Trinamic’s StealthChop, SpreadCycle, StallGuard2, and CoolStep. As such, these PANdrives allow for precise, smooth applications with reduced noise levels and energy consumption.

Trio’s Flexslice input/output system modules provide
a robust, high speed and flexible solution for both
motion control and general automation.

EtherCAT cycle times down to 125?secs are supported and the bus coupler uses EBUS technology to bring all
the sub-modules on to the EtherCAT network with no
degradation in performance.
The Flexslice system makes available a selection of digital and analogue I/O terminals as well as motion modules with pulse direction outputs designed for
precise positioning of stepper and servo motors via suitable drive technology.

The digital I/O modules have high-speed functionality. In addition, analogue modules and axis modules may be fitted to make a superbly tailored
system that can be placed remotely from the master if needed.

All Flexslice modules support automatic addressing with the master to automatically detect and configure the modules on startup. The bus coupler can support up to 16 input/output modules which have a positive mechanical lock and bus connector, making a reliable EBUS connection through the backplane.
The complete assembly can be DIN rail mounted.

Rapid Positioning with Smart Stepper Motor Drives.

Stepper motors are always ideal when a lot of torque and precise, reliable positioning is needed at low and medium speeds. The new PANdrive is pushing the envelope for stepper motor applications to high-speed positioning with up to 5000 rpm.

Trinamic announces the extension of the successful PANdrive product line by the PD42-3-1241 and the module TMCM-1241. The drive is equipped with a high current NEMA17 motor for fast, dynamic positioning.

Trinamic - TMCM 1241The product features Trinamic’s second generation StealthChop, the silent stepper motor drive technology for quiet stepper motors, as well as SpreadCycle for smooth motion control. CoolStep, the sensorless load-dependent current control, ensures energy-efficient operation of the motor while the magnetic SensOstep encoder provides step-loss detection for safety – even in standstill.

Developed for a 10V to 30V DC operating voltage at up to 3A RMS phase current, the PD42-3-1241 PANdrive and TMCM-1241 module can reach up to 5000 rpm. As such, the drive provides superior performance wherever precise positioning at high speed is required. Accessing this performance is easy using the free TMCL-IDE, allowing for easy implementation of a standalone program flow and remote-controlled operation like all other Trinamic PANdrives and modules. Host communication is possible via the RS485, USB, or CAN interface using TMCL or the optional CANopen protocol.

An integrated SixPoint ramp generator allows for precise and rapid positioning – even in environments where parameters and target positions must be changed during motion. The drive has L R reference switch inputs and comes with StallGuard2 for sensorless homing.
